Escorial Lagoon
In short
A lagoon by the road to Lolco that appeared when lava from Lonquimay volcano flooded a forest.
Laguna Escorial lies beside the road to Lolco, inside the Malalcahuello-Nalcas National Reserve, Curacautín district. It formed when lava flows from Lonquimay volcano trapped some streams and the water flooded a forest, which is now underwater (source: Araucanía Andina).
