Arcoíris Lake
In short
A small lake in Conguillío National Park, formed by lava flows from Llaima volcano.
Arcoíris (Rainbow) Lagoon is a small 1.5-hectare lake in Conguillío National Park. It formed when an eruption of Llaima volcano blocked a stream and flooded a coigüe forest: that's why sunken trunks show through its clear, blue-green water (source: Araucanía Andina).
Things to do
- See the sunken trunks from the shore.
- Combine with Truful-Truful waterfall and Conguillío Lake; the lagoon is near the park's south entrance (source: CONAF, quoted by Meteored).
Getting there
Through the south entrance of Conguillío National Park, from Melipeuco on route S-61 and then route 925-S (source: CONAF, quoted by Meteored).
